Dark Ocean is a gothic rock band fronted by vocalist Anya Blackwood and guitarist Ethan Blackwood. They formed after Anya and Ethan met in a music club, later adding bassist Alex Blackwood and drummer Jake Blackwood to complete the lineup.
Their debut album 'Abyssal Sorrow' came out in 2015, followed by a second album called 'Requiem for the Lost' that incorporated some electronica and classical elements. Anya's vocals tend toward the ethereal, while Ethan's guitar work creates atmospheric melodies.
One of their songs, 'Die For Me,' was released as a single from that first album. The track deals with themes of obsession and despair, and its music video features Anya performing.
