Their debut album 'A Winter's Night' came out in 2005, with the title track becoming one of their most recognizable songs. The band's sound leaned toward melodic rock with a melancholic edge, heard in tracks like 'Gehenna' and 'Immortal'.
In 2010, Hietala left the band and was replaced by Jukka Koskinen on bass. Their lyrics often dealt with introspective or bleak themes, which drew some criticism for being too dark. They followed their debut with 'Angels to the Universe' in 2007 and were working on 'Every Day Is a Miracle' when the existing history cuts off.
