Do you feel like you're never alone?

Does a ghost seem to follow you home

And do you wash away your regrets

And do you punish yourself for the "whys" and "what ifs"

All the time when you can't change a thing about it?

Your presence is killing me

Is it just another alibi

To fill the spaces which were meant to be

For those times that I need you the most?

I contemplate and I lay here endlessly

Still looking for some clues in the dark

Just to stave off my reality

I wonder if this is as good as it gets

And pondering when and if closure begins
