Darkwood Dub was a Berlin-based electronic duo active in the late 1990s and early 2000s, consisting of Steve Koistinen and Paul Schmitz. Their sound pulled from dub techniques and techno rhythms, creating atmospheric tracks that felt more like shadowy environments than conventional dance music. They released albums like 'Resonating Shadows' in 2001, followed by 'Echoes of the Past' and 'Lost Horizons'.

Their track 'Antena' became their most recognizable piece, a slow-building dub-techno hybrid that circulated through underground circles. Other songs like 'Neko Misli' and 'Zapremina Tela' followed similar patterns, layered, patient, and more concerned with mood than hooks. The duo's work was consistently experimental, often avoiding mainstream electronic structures in favor of something more textural and introspective.
