Archive material and source history
Dartanhã e Delamônica formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, with singer-songwriter Bruno Santos (Dartanhã) and guitarist Ricardo Teixeira (Delamônica) coming together around a shared interest in rock and roll. They started playing small venues and putting out independent records.
Their big break came in 2002 with the single "Na Boleia do Meu Caminhão." The song became a chart-topper, though it also drew some criticism for how it portrayed truck use. They followed it with albums like "De Cabeça Pra Baixo," "Não Se Engane," and "Deixa a Vida Te Levar."
Delamônica left the duo in 2012, and Dartanhã continued performing solo for several years. In 2017, Delamônica returned, and they started working together again. Other songs in their catalog include "Coisas do Paraguai" and "A Voz Que Ouvi No Vento."
