Das Rosas formed in Bogotá, Colombia, with Andrea Echeverri on lead vocals and Héctor Buitrago on guitar. Their debut album 'Musiteca' came out in 1991, followed by 'Amanecer' in 1995 and 'Retratos' in 1997.
Their song 'Sagrado Ritual' drew attention for its direct lyrics about a clandestine love affair. The band released 'Supernova' in 2000 and 'Lo Que No Te Muerde' in 2003.
Their music incorporated elements from Andean folk traditions alongside electronic production. They worked with bassist Juancho Valencia and drummer Julián Salazar.
