Dashville Punk formed in São Paulo in 1997. The band's original lineup included Johnny Luxo on vocals, Billy Fly on guitar, Marco Violence on bass, and Rodrigo Trash on drums. They released their self-titled debut album the following year.
Their 2000 single "Me Deixe Em Paz" became one of their most recognizable tracks. Other songs like "Mundo Esquizofrênico" and "Sociedade néscia" carried the band's straightforward punk approach with lyrics that often addressed social themes.
They put out several albums through the mid-2000s, including De Volta Ao Front in 2002 and A Última Revolta in 2006. The track "Ninguém Para Se Amar" featured a collaboration with Cleverson Izaguirry.
