David Coverdale and Jimmy Page recorded one album together in 1993. Coverdale had been the singer for Deep Purple, and Page was the guitarist from Led Zeppelin. Their self-titled record included songs like 'Absolution Blues' and 'Shake My Tree.'
The album was a straightforward blues-rock project. Guy Pratt played bass and Denny Carmassi was on drums, with Page handling production. It was the only thing they released as a duo.
Some listeners at the time weren't sure what to make of two established rock figures working together, but they made the record anyway. The music leaned on Page's guitar riffs and Coverdale's vocal style, which was familiar to anyone who knew their previous bands.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
