David Garrett was born in Aachen, Germany in 1980 and started playing violin at age four. He studied at the Juilliard School in New York with teachers including Itzhak Perlman, and won the International Music Competition for Young Musicians in London in 1997.
He's recorded songs like 'Io Ti Penso Amore' and 'Serenity' with Nicole Scherzinger, and 'Ma dove sei' with Andrea Bocelli. Some classical critics have questioned his approach to blending genres, but he's built an audience that crosses between classical and contemporary music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
