David Lover was a Brazilian trio from Porto Alegre in the 1980s, with David Pinteiro on vocals and guitar, Fauto Rocha on drums, and Bira Brasil on bass. They worked in a mix of pop, rock, and samba.
Their debut album "Preciso de Uma Namorada" gave them their biggest hit, the title track. That song became something of an anthem in Brazil, with a melody that stuck around in people's memories.
They put out a few more albums after that, including "Meu Bom Anjo" and "Só Me Dê Amor." The band's members eventually went their separate ways to work on other projects.
