Beyond the Dark Glass

In the midst

of forgotten empires

I see you there

standing there

staring at me with vacant eyes

a golden figure you seam

an angel slipped through the fingers of god

not of this world, not of our kind

not of flesh, so hard to find

a rose for my angel of god, so fine

from beyond the dark glass

my angel stands

with a withered rose in her hands
