Day After Tomorrow formed in Tokyo in 2002 with vocalist Masato Sagawa, guitarist Kazutoshi Matsunaga, and bassist Masato Ohtsuka. Their debut single 'Itazura Na Kiss' came out in 2004 and found an audience in Japan, followed by their self-titled debut album.
Bassist Masato Ohtsuka left in 2006, and Akira Matsuda joined on bass. The band kept releasing music, including albums like 'Day After Tomorrow II' in 2005 and 'D.A.T.' in 2007. Their songs like 'After All...' and 'Arifureta Nichijou wo Sutete' show their mix of pop and rock.
By 2010, with the album 'Love Story,' the lineup included Sagawa, Matsunaga, Matsuda, and drummer Yuji Kaneko. They wrote and recorded through that period without much fanfare about their sound or status.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
