Father of light would you grant me your presence

Lord of my life let me into your court

The beaten path has a way of beating me down

It’s got rocks for fists and they are going to town

I learn truth from pain and from all of the mistakes I make

But experience means nothing if I can’t see your face

Solid rock on which I stand

Take your children into your loving hands
