D.azuos formed in the early 2000s when childhood friends Gabriel Moura, Paulo Souza, and Ricardo Cambota started playing acoustic sets at local bars in Rio de Janeiro. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, featuring the lead single "Amor Em Dose Dupla," which became a major hit on Brazilian radio. The song's straightforward rhythm and Gabriel's vocal delivery connected with listeners, helping push the band into wider recognition.

Their music often dealt with personal relationships and emotions, which sometimes drew criticism for being too direct or explicit. They kept writing in that vein anyway, putting out albums like "Tempo de Mudar" in 2007, "O Amor Que Não Acaba" in 2010, and "Meu Dia de Sorte" in 2016. Over those records, their sound shifted from acoustic foundations toward pop, rock, and samba touches.

They've worked with other Brazilian artists such as Gilberto Gil, Ivete Sangalo, and Wesley Safadão. Songs like "Ana Cheia de Graça," "Canto da Sereia," and "Me Diz Teu Segredo" have stayed in their setlists and playlists alongside "Amor Em Dose Dupla."
