De Bobera

De Bobera formed in Madrid in the late 1980s around vocalist and songwriter Mr. Bobera, with Jota on guitar, David on bass, and José on drums. They played small venues for years before their 1998 single "Desengano" brought them wider attention in Spain.

Their songs like "Desengano," "Medo de Amar," and "Não Precisa Mudar" often dealt with heartbreak and personal struggle. Some critics at the time found their lyrics overly pessimistic, but the band kept writing in that vein.

They released several albums including "La Ira de Dios" and "Perdido en la Ciudad," mixing rock with folk and flamenco touches. Their straightforward, emotional approach influenced later Spanish artists who valued similar directness in their music.
