"…There was a time when Ireland

Was populated by giants, warriors and hunters. They were called the Fenians.

There was a brave and strong warrior

Called Ossian and this is his story…"

Ossian and his friends were hunting,

At the lake of Killaney,

where they met a beautiful lady,

she's Niamh the princess of Sea.

Ossian fell in love with her

And fled to the land of the Spring,

where they lived together in peace

"I know I've all here to be happy,

but I want to see the land I love,

I want to see my friends again,

I wanna go home."

And the princess let him go,

And now he can see his home,

But he has to keep a promise.

(don't touch Irish field)

Ossian!

Ossian runs at the speed of the wind,

he runs fast to Ireland,

but there a tear fell from his face,

'cause there was no trace,

no Fenians, no friends

he found there,

nothing else a tear on his face.

"I fell down, I'm on the field,

My horse runs fast to Niamh,

I've broke the promise, I can not hide,

oh, I'm lost."

And the princess' heart now 's crying

he can not see his wife

'cause the promise has been broken,

Ossian!

Solo(Axel)

"Let the wind say my mission,

let Fire burn my passion,

let water quench my soul,

and earth keep my bones."

because her heart is crying,

and I can't see my wife,

and my heart was crying too,

Ossian!

"The strong young knight became

old, weak and blind.

Ossian spend his last days

singing to the small men

about Fenians, Ireland, and the place

where he lived with his wife.

One day thinking about Niamh

He fell asleep forever."
