A technical death metal band from Poland that formed in 1996 and has kept pushing their sound forward.
For their early sound, check out 'Winds of Creation'. For where they ended up, 'Blood Mantra' gives you the picture.
Decapitated matters because they brought a specific kind of technical precision to death metal's brutality, starting with their debut 'Winds of Creation' in 2000. Songs like 'Kill The Cult' and 'Blood Mantra' show how they've evolved while staying rooted in that aggressive foundation. They've survived tragedy and lineup changes to remain one of death metal's most consistent forces.
They formed in 1996 in the Polish town of Krosno, started by guitarist Vogg and drummer Sauron. Their early albums 'Winds of Creation', 'Nihility', and 'The Negation' established their technical death metal reputation. After bassist Martin died in a 2007 bus accident, they regrouped and kept recording, with later work showing continued evolution.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
