Decimator formed in 1984 with Rick Rozz on vocals and guitar, Glen Alvelais on guitar, Dave DiPietro on bass, and Mike Gaspar on drums. After Rozz and Alvelais left early on, DiPietro and Gaspar brought in vocalist Randy Rhodes and guitarist Scott Miller, which became the lineup that defined their sound.
Songs like 'Banner of Terror' and 'Genocide' from their catalog reflect the aggressive, war-themed lyrics that became their hallmark.
They released four studio albums total, including 'Evil We Inhale' and 'Hate Slave'. The band's music combined thrash metal's raw intensity with intricate guitar work, though they never achieved mainstream commercial success outside their dedicated following in the underground metal scene.
