vulcanizadora
en cierta calle transitada
y allí vivía un tipo solitario
que hacía lo que fuera
para trabajar.
De la misma forma que hay
quien con sus manos
trabajaría construyendo
los domingos por la noche
y cuando no había coches
cerraba el local.
Salía con un pico viejo
a vagar errabundo
con su bicicleta

o a practicarle un retoque

con algo de suerte
habría llantas ponchadas

Los lunes por las mañanas
se iba a trabajar a la
vulcanizadora
a eso de las ocho y media
cualquiera con prisa
siempre paga más la
filosofía que a los carros
con llantas nuevas no les
pasa nada con la ayuda de
un buen bache todo era
cuestión de probabilidad.
Creo que comenzó el negocio
quitando la tapa
de una coladera como aumentó la clientela
empezó a practicas hoyos
aquí y allá
muchos cambian el camino
y él cumpliendo su destino
tiene que andar retocando
calle aledañas para
emparejar.
Fue por demás el empeño
que haya puesto gente del
ayuntamiento la sociedad
de colonos y vecinos nunca
halló una explicación
al retocador de calles
nunca lo vio nadie, nunca lo
vio nadie se creyó que eran
las lluvias, el camión o
resultado del temblar.
Hace tiempo que no he
vuelto a saber nada del
retocador de calles un día
me arregló una llanta y muy
agradeciendo le pagué feliz.
luego lo encontré una
noche de domingo con su
pico martillando
como sé donde trabaja en
las montañas ya no he vuelto
por allí.
