Demake

Demake started as a rock band in São Paulo around 2000, with André Evaristo on vocals and guitar, Paulo Ventorim on bass, and Rodrigo Ribeiro on drums. They put out their first album, 'Aurora,' in 2004, and the single 'A Única' got some attention locally. That song, along with others like 'Só Você Não Vê' and 'Vem Vem Vem,' gave them a foothold in Brazil's alternative rock circles.

They kept recording over the next decade, with albums like 'Ascensão' in 2006, 'Síntese' in 2009, and 'Transcendência' in 2015. The lineup shifted a bit, adding guitarist Diego Zanin and keyboardist Bruno Mazotti at some point. In 2010, there was a brief stir over plagiarism claims tied to a song called 'Cuidado,' but it didn't slow them down much.

Their sound leaned into rock and metal, with lyrics that touched on everyday themes. Songs like 'Vou Dizer' rounded out their setlists. They never became a huge mainstream act, but they built a steady following in São Paulo and beyond, sticking to their lane without much flash or drama.
