Dembahl formed in Stockholm in the mid-1990s with vocalist and guitarist Anders Fridén, drummer Daniel Erlandsson, and bassist Henrik Olsson. Their debut album 'The Plague Within' came out in 1999, followed by records like 'Terra Invicta' and 'Sign of the Black Diamond'.
In 2002, they released 'Far From Defeated,' which became one of their most recognizable songs. Fridén left the band in 2006, leading to lineup changes and a period of instability.
Fridén returned in 2012, and Dembahl released their seventh album 'The 5th Sun' that same year.
