Denjiman formed in 1977 as a five-piece band tied to the tokusatsu series of the same name. The group included Katsuhisa Hattori on vocals, Junya Kitagawa on guitar, Hiroki Kazui on bass, Yoko Kikuchi on keyboards, and Toshiaki Miura on drums.
Their most recognizable work is the theme song "Aa Denshi Sentai Denjiman," which became popular alongside the television show. They released several albums during their active years, including Denjiman in 1977, Denjiman 2: Fight! Denjiman in 1978, and Denjiman 3: Grand Final Battle in 1979.
Bassist Hiroki Kazui left the band in 1978, and Denjiman continued as a quartet before disbanding in 1980. Other songs from their catalog include "Denjiman ni Makaseru," "Go Go Denji Tiger," and "Kagayake! Denjiman."
