You used to hold my hand and I knew you needed me

How many times did I carry you to bed while you pretended sleep?

You brought the laughter to my smile; The twinkle to my eye.

You brought the bounce to a weary step and joy to your Daddy's life.

Yet somehow time has come and gone and at least from where I stand

The little boy I used to know has now become a man!

I used to win all the basketball games; I don't win much anymore
