DepthminD came together in Bristol in the early 2000s as a loose collective of DJs and producers. They worked out a sound that mixed drum and bass energy with trance melodies, though the early years were lean ones, with lineup changes and financial struggles that kept them playing underground gigs.

Things turned around in 2007 with the release of 'Natural Disaster.' The track's heavy basslines and vocal hook caught on, becoming a festival staple and pushing the band into wider recognition. Their debut album 'Earthquaker' followed in 2008, and they toured heavily behind it.
