A Japanese rock band that formed in 1983, named after poet Charles Baudelaire.
For their sound, try 'An Aphrodisiac' or 'Sadistic Emotion'. That's where the dark romantic themes and layered guitars come through.
They put out their first album themselves after labels passed on their sound, which tells you something about what they were doing. Songs like 'An Aphrodisiac' and 'Sadistic Emotion' show that dark, romantic style with Kyo's vocals and Cipher's guitar work. They made seven studio albums between 1985 and 2003, including 'Basilisk' and 'Voyager'.
They formed in 1983 after La Vie en Rose ended, taking their name from Baudelaire. Their first album came out in 1985, also called 'La Vie en Rose'. The band stopped in 1994 but played together again starting in 2007.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
