Dessert formed in the late 1990s with Jimmy Curry on vocals and guitar, Peter Walker on bass, and Sam Larson on drums. Their debut album 'Lost in the Shadows' came out in 2004, but it was their 2006 follow-up 'Back Around' that gave them their breakthrough. The title track became a chart-topping single.
Bassist Peter Walker left the band in 2009, and Eric Johnson joined to replace him. The band has released several albums since then, including 'Crossroads' in 2009, 'Phoenix Rising' in 2012, and 'Echoes of the Past' in 2015. Other notable songs in their catalog include 'Devil' and 'Sayonara'.
Dessert has faced some legal issues over copyright claims, but the current lineup continues with Curry, Larson, and Johnson.
