Destin formed in São Paulo in 2002 as a Brazilian pop-rock band. The group included vocalist and guitarist Dudu Fileti, bassist Rodrigo Costa, drummer André Leão, and keyboardist Marco Leite. They released their self-titled debut album that established their approach, mixing pop melodies with rock elements.
In 2006, the band faced plagiarism allegations and took a temporary break from recording and performing. They returned to activity in 2008 and went on to release several more albums, including 'Um Novo Tempo,' 'Amor e Fé,' and 'Só Pra Te Ouvir.' Songs like 'Com Você' and 'Suportar' became part of their catalog.
The four members worked together with Fileti handling most of the vocals and lyrics, Costa on bass, Leão on drums, and Leite adding keyboard textures. Their music found an audience in Brazil before they began to receive some attention internationally.
