A Brazilian group that mixed samba, MPB, and rock across their 2000s recordings.
For a good sense of their range, try 'Carpe Diem Love' and '7 Projeções'. They show the band's lighter touch and their more driving side.
They arrived with a sound that felt both grounded and restless, pulling from samba and rock without settling into either. You can hear that push-and-pull on '7 Projeções' and 'A culpa é da vida'. Their 2004 debut Acústico MTV introduced a band that felt like a conversation between São Paulo's musical traditions.
They formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with Alexandre Fontanetti on vocals and guitar, Felipe Cordeiro on bass, André Tavares on drums, and Rodrigo Pinheiro on keyboards. After Acústico MTV in 2004, they kept working through the decade and released a final studio album called Vozes in 2013.
