Devans

Devans formed in Brazil in 2004 with Lucas Silveira on vocals, Guto Oliveira on bass, Milton Guedes on guitar, and Bruno Oliveira on drums. They released their debut album 'Venturas e Desventuras' the following year. The band's songs like 'Alguém' often work with themes of love and loss through straightforward melodies and lyrics.

Silveira writes most of the material, and his delivery tends to be direct and unadorned. The guitar parts from Guedes and the rhythm section give the music its basic shape without much ornamentation. They've kept the same lineup since starting out, which gives their recordings a consistent feel from one project to the next.
