Deysiane Nunes grew up in Itapetininga, São Paulo, and started studying music early. She attended the Conservatório Musical de Itapetininga as a teenager, where she took lessons in classical piano, choral singing, and theory.
Her debut album came out in 1998, titled after the song 'Ainda Uma Vez Nessa Vida.' That track, a ballad about missing someone, got some radio play and helped introduce her to Brazilian audiences. She put out a few more albums over the next decade or so, including 'Canções para Você' in 2002 and 'Entre o Céu e o Mar' in 2006.
She kept recording, with albums like 'O Amor é um Mistério' in 2012 and 'Essência' in 2018.
