Dezakato formed in Bakersfield, California with Kyle Rittenhouse on vocals and guitar, Jesse Lindquist on bass, Eric Dawson on drums, and Tony Sarafian on lead guitar. They started playing local shows with a hard rock and metal sound that built them a following around town.
In 2010 they put out their first EP, Echoes of the Unseen, which got them signed to Fearless Records.
Their live shows were known for being pretty intense, which drew some criticism along with the fans. They kept playing that way regardless.
