Dezatados formed in Mexico City in 1993, mixing rock and ska with Latin rhythms. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1996, followed by 'Ya Están Aquí' which included the song 'Te Amo.'
Hugo Rodríguez sang lead for the band. In 2004, drummer Daniel Rivera died in a car accident, which affected the group but they kept playing.
Later albums like 'Mundo Raro' from 2006 and 'Instinto Animal' from 2012 showed them adding reggae, funk, and electronic touches to their sound. They put out nine studio albums in total.
