Background notes

Archive material and source history

Die Young formed in Los Angeles around 2007, with Darius Routte on vocals, Sean LaFreniere on guitar, David Marion on bass, and Ronnie Therrien on drums. They started playing in local venues, working out their sound before recording anything.

Their debut album came out in 2010, titled 'Making a Killing' after the song of the same name. That track got some attention for its direct, energetic approach. The band put out a few more albums over the next decade, including 'Different Days' in 2014 and 'Shadow' in 2020.

Ronnie Therrien left the band in 2015, and Aaron Anderson took over on drums. Their later material showed some shifts in production, but they kept playing shows and putting out records.
