They had put out a debut album called 'O Ritmo do Verão' in 1994, which didn't make much noise initially. But after 'Tchan Nan Nan' took off, they kept recording material like 'Paredão' and 'Deixa acontecer'. Their sound leaned into upbeat, percussive arrangements that worked well at parties and local events.

Beyond that hit, they've had other songs in their catalog such as 'Águas Mansas' and 'Barraqueira'. The duo met in Rio de Janeiro, with Diego handling guitar and vocals while Vinicius focused on percussion. They built a following by playing around town before landing a record deal.
