Dignow

Dignow formed in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais in the mid-1990s, with Bruno Vilela as vocalist and songwriter. Their sound mixed sertanejo roots with pop elements, which drew some criticism from traditional fans but found a wider audience. Their 2001 debut album "Mulequeira" gave them a national hit with the title track, a catchy song about a mischievous girl that became an anthem.

They followed up with albums like "Piração" in 2003 and "Dignow Ao Vivo" in 2005. Other songs like "Abra os Bracinhos" and "Até o Dia Amanhecer" kept their presence on Brazilian radio. In 2006, they faced a plagiarism lawsuit over a melody, which was settled out of court.

The band's lineup included Leandro Prado on keyboards, Rodrigo Bastos on bass, and Thiago Dutra on drums alongside Vilela. They toured Brazil extensively and released "De Volta à Estrada" in 2011. Their live shows were known for energy, and songs like "Bota a Camisa" and "Correria" maintained their popularity on streaming platforms.
