Digue formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1996, with Digão on vocals and guitar, Marco Túlio on guitar, Rafael Brasil on bass, and Rodrigo Castanho on drums. Their early work included the 1998 album Porco Mundo and the song 'De Bobeira,' which became widely known in Brazil around that time.

In 2000, the band released the album Jesus Cristo and faced the death of founding member Clemente Júnior in a car accident. They continued recording, putting out albums like 10 Anos in 2007, Um Dia de Cada Vez in 2013, and Estrada in 2018. Other songs in their catalog include 'Então Fica,' 'Eu vou,' 'Fumaça,' and 'Você Foi.'

Their lyrics sometimes addressed social and political topics, which drew attention in certain circles. The band kept performing and recording through the years, maintaining a presence in Brazilian rock.
