Dimitri Vangelis is a Greek-Canadian electronic duo made up of brothers Dimitri Vangelis Papadopoulos and Vangelis Papadopoulos. They started working together in Toronto around 2009, when they put out their first EP called 'Equilibrium.' That release leaned into progressive house and trance, and it led to their 2011 track 'Synergy,' which got them more attention in dance music circles.
They followed that with a debut album in 2014 titled 'Awakening,' which included work with vocalists like Sarah McLachlan and The Chainsmokers. Later albums came out in 2017, 2019, and 2021. Their sound tends toward uplifting melodies and driving rhythms, often touching on themes of connection and introspection.
Some of their better-known tracks include 'Safe' with Wyman and 'Coming Home.' They've worked with other vocalists too, including Alex. The brothers have kept releasing music over the last decade, sticking mostly to their blend of house and trance.
