The storms came early this year

as a sign of imminence to wipe away the signs of spring

and brought with them the grey days

and granted rain upon the tired arms of ours

The Angel has yet to spread her wings

For the hour's not yet here

Dreaming of fields of red roses

and awaiting the fall...

But only too late did the storms come

unable to wash away the blood that has been shed for men

for they are the lost and they know not their lot

leaving a last summer spent in anticipation

So it is the blessing of earth that soaks us now in these days of late

so we can bask once more in the deliverance of life

And breathe the rain in as the Angel spreads her wings... red, divine

and dreams of the fall

"There is one more last day

One more piece of normalcy

A last chance to finish those things left incomplete

And find the way

and for those that have the presence of mind

can dream of the fall"
