Disco Zodiac formed in Los Angeles in the early 2000s, with Eleanor "Leo" Lionheart on vocals. Their debut single "Scusami" got some attention, mixing disco and electroclash with Leo's vocals over the top.
In 2006, a leaked demo with racially insensitive lyrics caused a problem. Leo Lionheart apologized for it and said they'd try to do better.
They put out an album called "Scusami" after that, and later ones called "Electric" and "Cosmic." Leo and guitarist Ethan "Eros" Knight have stayed with the band through lineup changes.
