They released their debut album 'Vestiges' in 2004, which established their mix of electronica and post-rock. Their 2007 album 'Amphetamine' gave them a title track that became one of their most recognized songs, alongside 'Like Me' and 'About You'.
That 2007 album drew some criticism for being too experimental, but it also brought them wider attention. They kept the same four members through their next albums 'Aphasia' and 'Axiom', which explored ambient and minimalist directions. Their sound stayed rooted in layered electronics and atmospheric rock.
They worked with other artists including Aphex Twin and Brian Eno at different points. Divisi operated independently, avoiding major labels and maintaining control over their recordings and direction.
