Division Speed formed in 2010 when guitarist Henrik Udd and drummer Erik Rasmussen started playing together. They were joined by bassist Jonas Gustavsson and vocalist Tomas Andersson. Their first single was "Freezing Cold."
In 2012 they put out their debut album "Unleashed." A year later, Henrik Udd was diagnosed with cancer and the band paused while he went through treatment. He recovered and returned to playing.
Some of their songs like "Black Wolves" and "Outlaws" have lyrics that touch on social and political themes, which has drawn strong reactions at times. They've kept making music since, including tracks like "Blazing Heat" and "Division Speed Attack."
