Background notes

Archive material and source history

DMP formed in the early 2000s with Kevin Rudolf on vocals and guitar, Marc Senter on bass, and Paul Davis on drums. They were originally called Downside before becoming DMP.

Their 2008 single "Out From Under" got radio play and became their most recognizable song. It appeared on their 2009 debut album "On the Run," which mixed pop and rock elements. They followed it with "Here We Are" in 2011 and "Signals" in 2013.

Marc Senter left the band in 2010. Some listeners criticized their use of auto-tune and what they saw as a commercial sound.
