Joe Jonas's post-Jonas Brothers band mixes funk and rock into danceable pop.
For the full DNCE experience, start with 'Cake by the Ocean' and then let 'Body Moves' or 'TV In The Morning' show you what else they can do.
DNCE arrived in 2015 with a sound that felt like a party you could actually dance to. 'Cake by the Ocean' became an instant signature, but tracks like 'Pay Me Rent' and 'TV In The Morning' showed they had more than one gear. Their self-titled debut and the follow-up 'DNCE 2' built a catalog of lively, guitar-driven pop that kept the energy high.
The band formed in 2015 with Joe Jonas on vocals, Jack Lawless on guitar, Cole Whittle on bass, and JinJoo Lee on drums. Their debut album came the next year, followed by 'DNCE 2' in 2018, with touring and singles like 'Kissing Strangers' filling the years in between.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
