Dolve Gando formed in the late 1990s in Callao, Peru, with vocalist Jhony Rivera, guitarist Manuel Mesías, bassist José Luis Oliva, and drummer Raúl Sánchez. They had a hard time getting noticed at first, playing around a competitive local scene while dealing with the usual financial struggles of a new band.
Things changed in 2005 when their song "Iludido" connected with listeners across the country. The track became a hit, pushing the band into wider recognition. That period also brought some public controversies and internal disagreements, which eventually led to Rivera and Mesías leaving the group in 2011.
The remaining members kept the name Dolve Gando and brought in new people. They released an album called "Renacer" in 2013. Other songs from their catalog include "LITG," "Sober (part. Helkimer)," and "Summer."
