Dooland formed in Rio de Janeiro in the early 2000s with Rafael Lobo on vocals, Guilherme Fonseca on guitar, Bruno Mello on bass, and Fabio Malaquias on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2005, and its lead single "Apenas o Homem e a Mulher" became their most recognizable song.
They kept recording after that, putting out Dooland II in 2008 and Sempre in 2012, along with a live album called Amor em Concerto in 2015.
