Dos Pulsos formed in the early 2000s around singer-songwriter Vinicius Sette, with guitarist Rodrigo Tavares, bassist Fabio Oliveira, and drummer Renan Silva. Their debut album 'Meu Clichê' came out in 2006 and helped establish them in Brazilian pop-rock. The record included songs like 'Alguém Me Disse' and 'Boa Sorte/Good Luck' that became staples in their set.
Sette left the band in 2010, and Gabriel Santana took over on vocals. They kept recording through that transition, putting out albums like 'Entre o Céu e o Inferno' in 2010 and 'Pra Começar o Fim' in 2013. Later tracks such as 'Mania de Você' and 'Odeio Te Amar' continued their mix of straightforward rock and melodic hooks.
The group has worked with other Brazilian artists including Vanessa da Mata and Pitty. Their current lineup still features Tavares, Oliveira, Silva, and Santana. They released 'Cabeça de Cobra' in 2017.
