Dose Acústica formed in São Paulo in 2009 with Danilo Sampaio on vocals and guitar, Juliano Almeida on bass, and Toni Garrido on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out the following year, and its lead single 'Melhor de Mim' caught on quickly across Brazil.
After Garrido left in 2012, the band brought in Thiago Gomes on drums and later added keyboardist Rodrigo Forchetti. They kept putting out records like 'Vida Real' in 2013, 'Acústica II' in 2015, and 'Dois' in 2018. Songs like 'Naquela Rua' and 'Pelo Que Você Luta?' showed their straightforward acoustic approach.
The group called it quits in 2020. Their catalog, including tracks like 'Fantoche' and 'Dezesseis', still gets played by listeners who connected with their unadorned sound.
