DR80 was a Brazilian band that formed in Rio de Janeiro in the early 1980s. They put out a few albums in that decade, including A Ira dos Deuses in 1983 and O Beijo e a Revolução in 1985. Their sound mixed rock, funk, and samba.
In 1986 they released the album Essa Mulher, which had the song of the same name. That track became their most recognizable piece. The band's lineup included Marcos Suzano on vocals and guitar, Guto Goffi on bass, Marcos Lobão on drums, and Daniel Latorre on keyboards.
They broke up in 1993, but their song Essa Mulher still gets played.
