Their name came from a character in a Portuguese children's book. They released a self-titled EP in 1985, then had a national hit in 1987 with the single "#19."

After "#19," they put out albums like "Um Lugar ao Sol" in 1989 and "O Mundo ao Contrário" in 1991. Their 1998 album "Devolver" got good reviews after some earlier criticism. Other songs in their catalog include "A Cidade" and "Contradição."
