DRIKKA formed in Hamburg around 2016, starting as a duo called T & J with Tim Schwerdter and Jannis Block before adding Lukas Nimscheck and Johannes Scheffler. They built a following through local shows, with Schwerdter on vocals and guitar, Block on drums, Nimscheck on keys and synthesizers, and Scheffler on bass.
In 2021 they released 'Bis Zum Mond (feat. LEA),' a single that reached the top of German charts. The song's space-themed video matched its cosmic sound, built around electronic beats and melodic synthesizers.
They followed with the track 'Kosmonaut' in 2022 and have an album called 'Schwerelos' planned for 2023.
